Ping network admins

Post by Tormentius »

Update your antivirus gents. Symantec posted one update so far today and will probably post another by days end. Apparently this little bit of nastiness has a new variant. I'm not sure of the new tech details as of yet but a colleagues (quite secure and fully updated) network got crippled by it today.

Odd, I just ran liveupdate and there is nothing.

And, Tormentius: I read on Godlikes site to run only 1 antivirus program and only 1 antispyware program. Yet you said you ran 3 antispywares. Is it OK to do this.

They probably meant running at the same time. I use several different AVs and antispywares, I just don't have them running at the same time.
