If I were you, I'd go back there during better light and take dozens more photos- exploring the reflective surface for unique POVs. Crazy blob of chrome that thing is!
Since HDR is the new hot thing, I've been experimenting with it this morning.
I just discovered that my Nikon D50 can auto-bracket an exposure with 3 stops (lol noob me). So using 3 differently exposed jpegs, I've combined it into an HDR image with Photomatrix (Photoshop CS2 can do the trick too I believe). It wasn't difficult and the result is quite nice without looking too artificial. I'm going to shoot a lot more photos :-)

that image bringt up some memories. i was stuck in that valley in 2005 for two days due to heavy rain. the freeway was partly destroyed, etc. we were in a traffic jam for about 7 hours and only made about 30km. then we slept next to some truckers on a parking lot.

It was about 15 degrees celcius in Innsbruck, I've been sitting in the sun drinking beer wearing only a shirt and trousers. The past ten years there has been snow in the city. What an inconvenient truth.
