Very simple guide:Doombrain wrote:right, fuck it.
how do i do a good tonemapped HDR? and i mean one with about 6-7 stops?
I'm going to give it ago.
1) Take 6-7 shots at different exposures, or use Photoshop to adjust the exposure from a RAW and save them (taking multiple shots works better), name them something useful, i.e. -2.jpg, -1.5.jpg, -1.jpg etc
2) Get Photomatrix Pro (/PM me for it) - http://www.hdrsoft.com/
3) In Photomatrix go to HDR > Generate > Browse and add all of the images you saved from 1). Click ok.
4) In the next window you may be asked to enter the EV of the images. Because you named the images usefully you should see -1.jpg on the left so in the box to the right enter -1 etc. Click ok and wait a few seconds and it will show you your combined picture.
5) Go to HDR > Tone Mapping and adjust the sliders to suit.
