Lunaran actually no longer works there. You should go on IRC and bug him for details, he loves when people do that. :icon14:

Let me guess: he suggested to create a series of dm17-remakes for the game he was working on? :icon32:

Lunaran would never ever like dm17 :(

Btw, anyone have an idea what ztn does these days?

O.K.
Now it turns out that lun3dmN comes after ztndmN.
It makes sense in that some cpma maps are there.

My next question is what does ztn stand for?
Does it have something to do with German?

What the hell are you talking about?

Statements of truth:

1. ztn is a mapper.
2. His site is here: http://ztn.planetquake.gamespy.com/
3. His real name is Sten Uusvali--"ztn" is a nick (otherwise known as an online nickname).
4. All of this can be figured out in about five minutes by using Google.
5. This thread is really silly.
6. When I read your initial post, I made this face:

Seriously, wtf?

I've been making the same face for ages till now because ztn stopped at dm2 or tourney2, which seemed quite a bit of an oddness.

Hell, no! Sten Uusvali is a name with german roots, NOT!
It's a nick, you may also ask czm why his nick is that weird too. Maybe it's a conspiration?

And why he should not stop with dm2? He already mapped for Q1 and Q2 very successfully. I suppose he lacked of time after gaining a job in the industry.

Finally I want to second pjw: wtf?

ztn stands for Sten. Say Zen and put a T in there. It's not that complex.

What does Lunaran have to do with this(as pjw calls)silly topic?

I don't like ztn because it's guys like him that are the reason stubborn q3 people don't ever want to change their map playing ideologies and play the same fucking thing over and over and over in every tournament. ;s

If memory serves me well, ztn quit on account of him being put behind bars.

Well, occasional player's gametypes are different from top hardcore pro players.

I think lunaran satisfied both category!

It's because people don't produce high quality enough maps to have tactical and strategic play be apparent advantages from the get-go. p-q3dm6 had a few years to evolve into a real 1v1 map with everyone having played it so much, ztn was almost a direct hit. Make a better map, get the right talent to play it, and they will come :D

Thanks mazor and vile for your seemingly correct answers.

By the way is lun really identical to ztn?
I re-checked both of their maps and just felt something was not quite right.
