Tigh, Tyrol, Tory, and Anders are all Cylons.
What'd you think of Starbuck's return? kinda odd that she was in a Viper huh? My bet is that she's still dead but will be in Lee's head all next season.
I also firmly believe that the idea is that they will get to Earth as it is right now and they will find that we've since bred with Cylons to the point where we're are own unique race of people. Also, we've subscribed to the Cylon's monotheistic religion as opposed to the polytheism the colonies favor now.

Yeah, great ep, but the theories buzzing around the internet are retarded as usual.
Somehow I'm still not convinced the four really are cylons, but the show usually sticks with the answers it gives. Maybe they're something else entirely. One of the producers said that for the final five, "we might have to redefine the current definition of a cylon" or something. Also, what use is it to activate them now if they're still on the colonials side. Anyway, something is fishy.
Great exchange of glances between Tori and Tigh when they realize how well they've been placed though.
And riddla if you saw a spacestation you should probably stop catching frisbees with your forehead.

Read the latest Ronald D. Moore interview. He confirms that those four are unequivocally cylon. However the final 5 are "fundamentally different" from the other Cylons.
My bet is that the final 5 Cylons are going to be fundamentally different in the sense that there are only 1 of them and once they die they're done.
Re: the spacestation. I think what you saw was the reflection of Lee in his own cockpit. I watched it again last night and there was definitely nothing there.

"this has all happened before and it will all happen again".
think about it.
this is huge.
the premise of the entire series is,
a race of "humans" created a race of "machines",
who stood up and fought a war to replace them.
so now the cylons look human, they act human, they bleed, age, die.. etc.. everything just like a human.
and as soon as they learn to reproduce like a human, then presumeably,
they will kill off the "original" humans, and take their place in the universe. and..
..then what? will they tell their future descendants that they are all collectively just a race of machines?
probably not. they will probably just continue to reproduce like humans, and eventually,
their descendants will think they ARE human.
they will effectively "replace" their creator and take their creator's place in the universe.
and then.. eventually..
thinking that they are in fact the "original" human race..
they will create a new race of machines who look, act, talk, etc., exactly like they do.
and these new machines will ALSO evolve to replace their creator,
and in turn take their creator's place in the universe.
"this has all happened before and it will all happen again".
meaning: the humans in BSG are "last generation" cylons, people! they are machines.
they killed off the original human race. and they took the human's place in the universe.
and then, in their arrogance, they forgot that they were machines.
and eventually they created the "cylons", and now its all happening all over again.
--> the 13th colony (EARTH) will turn out to be the last remnants of the original human race,
who fled the galaxy, and left their (killing machine) creation behind on caprica.
--> from the POV of the people on Earth, the "humans" in BSG are our "cylons" (!)
we created them, and they tried to kill us. and we fled their galaxy to get away.
( just like humans in BSG created their own cylons, who tried to kill them, and they're trying to flee the galaxy to get away)
and now they're headed to Earth with a huge mofo battleship and a fleet of assorted starships (LOL!)
"its all happened before and it will all happen again"
--> when galactica finds earth (!AND THEY WILL!), it will be exactly the same scenario
as the day that the cylons returned to caprica (and destroyed the world) in the pilot episode.
the entire series will come full circle (!)
the "creation" will return to confront its creator.
but this time..
...Adama will break the cycle and make peace with the "gods" (aka. the humans of earth)
-========-
the four who were revealed as cylons in the season finale will turn out to be "1st generation cylons",
they are "fundamentally different"
they were created by the "original" human race (who became the people of earth).
these four are technically the same "race" as ALL the other humans in BSG..
..but they are programmed to "activate" if/when they get close to the nebula.
ie : if the humans in BSG are the "children of kobol", then these four are the "Lords of Kobol", and my guess:
they are meant to protect the gateway and even prevent their OWN people from finding earth.
through these four, (five actually including Starbuck),
we will learn that ALL the humans in BSG are actually the "first generation" of machines;
who went on to create the "current/second generation" of cylons;
who figured it all out, and came up with a "plan" to get to earth.
and the cylon plan..
(which we read about in the preview to every episode)..
probably goes something like this:
the cylons needed to manipulate the "children of kobol" into returning to the nebula after thousands of years,
to unlock the door to Earth,
so the cylons could find and/or confront and/or destroy the original human race.
--> they destroyed caprica and led the (so called) "human" fleet to the nebula,
so that the "final five/Lords of Kobol" would be activated/revealed,
and they would open the gateway to Earth.
thats when the "humans" of the colonial fleet will learn that they are (also) machines,
just like their own creations, the cylons; that they themselves were created by humans,
who fled to Earth thousands of years ago to get away from them.
and Adama will want to go through the gateway, one way or the other:
either believing he's human and wanting to reach more humans on earth..
OR knowing his entire race is (also) a race of machines (just like the cylons he hates),
and wanting to confront his creator on earth (just like the cylons did on caprica in the pilot episode).
"this has all happened before and it will all happen again"
[/ full circle]

missed the show for the last couple of weeks and just sat down and watched them back to back. this post has even more spoilers for folks who are still out to avoid them, stop now.
it all went too fast in the last episode, did they run out of time and not notice or something? they could've wrapped up the whole trial except for lee's speech in the previous episode, using testifying against his dad as the cliffhanger - then knocked out the rousing speech/obvious verdict at the start of the last episode and left 45 minutes for the toaster's teeth braces to start picking up our long lost commerical radio signals.
starbuck might be the 5th cylon (was wondering where she got her ship from too, and lee isn't a cylon - he was pausing to deliberate flying again), there was plenty of closure on baltar, they've as good as found earth. not sure what they're holding back. obviously the story isn't finished, but it feels finished enough for general viewing.
i guess there'll be plenty of spectacle at the start of the next season, just wish they'd left a bit of big drama at the end of this one - like have the cylons bash them up a bit more while they were realising they couldn't jump.

there'll be a dvd movie/2 parter at the end of this year (november'ish) then the rest of the series in the new year.
the missus got me a bsg book for christmas, i read a few pages of it while i was on the loo and it said there were different kinds of vipers (mark versions) and how to tell the difference between them, so i put it down and read some of an old comic book instead.
aye, it's not a big 'come back next season to find out' question.SplishSplash wrote:The obvious question is how the hell did she go to Earth and back in a ship without FTL drive. For that matter, how did she go anywhere at all. And is that even the ship she "died" in? I can't be bothered to check.

I'm pretty sure that the "skin-job" Cylons HAVE brains.seremtan wrote:one question for the everyone's-a-cylon theorists: how can someone live their entire life as a machine and not at some point discover it? i mean, they had cat scans and x-rays etc on caprica. surely some people would have noticed if they had CPUs instead of brains
