Sharing Video and Audio

When I go off to college I am going to get a new computer, including a new monitor. My hope for monitor is between a 19" and 22" widescreen LCD. I am also taking my speakers, Klipsch ProMedia 2.1. I would perfer DVI input for my monitor. My quandary is that I would like to share my monitor and speakers with my XBox 360. I would love to have HD for my 360 and a widescreen LCD should be able to do it. What cables and switches would I need to share the monitor and speakers between the 360 and the desktop? Ok, after researching I believe I need the HD VGA cable for the 360 from MS. I don't think I will need a switch as I will use DVI from my computer and VGA from my 360 and switch them from the monitor. I would then be able to keep the main plug of my speakers in my computer and plug the audio conector into my aux port on the speakers. Anyone forsee any problems or issues with sound or video quality with this?
