No disrespect, but the newer games didn't offer alot over GTA 3 except for new environments (always cool but gets old after a while) and a ton of new (and totally useless) game types/RPG crap.

If they remade GTA 3 again I'd play it for hours...but I still need something besides running around town with a spray can tagging fences like a moron.
A lot of people would disagree.

Myself and I guess many others just want the freedom to roam a new area and explore new things, play with new toys (different cars, planes, bikes, guns, outfits) and in each iteration it's been a totally new area to explore, and new items to mess about with (Vice City added air transport, SA added bikes), as well as pushing the technology further (each iteration had better visuals yet stuck to pretty much the same platform).

I can knock it in a lot of ways (I'd prefer multiplayer, an inventory, and way more items) but that's down to preference. Its hard to charge them with ceasing to add value to each title.

Its striking how many of the common elements between Oblivion and the GTA held my interest, now I stew on it.

I completely agree that adding the flight and motorcycles were awesome. And that's the way I play GTA: roaming around causing ill shit.

It seems we both like the games....I'm just bored with it. Hell...I didn't even want the roaming gameplay in Overdose. If I want to roam around I'll hop on my bike and ride down some stairs (and scare grannies).

What?!

That was just a teaser, far from a trailer. Anyone making market analysis based on those 30 seconds has seriously lost it.

My only gripe with gta3 was getting sidetracked... I only managed to finish gta3 but didn't finish vc or sa. I think sometimes they are too big in their own right. But I also spend too much time doing stupid stuff in the game and not enough missions. :o

sa got about to the top most part of the map, where you have to have the bridge fixed (i think). I swam there once too but the fuckers shot me down hard. :tear:

i liked sa a lot, mainly because they let you drive around between the cities, dunno but that was enjoyable

SA added proper planes. I think all you could fly in VC was the shitty Dodo plane aside from choppers.

3 was the best, SA was the worst because of all that useless level up crap and stuff, eating, hair cuts, outfits... WHY? Its GTA, after all. At least thats what I thought.

Vice City was good too but it got a little old for me because it was just "more of the same" to quickly. But SA changed things to much.

GTA 4 should be right on time to fill my needs by the time it comes out, I just hope they keep the new stuff to a minimum (As in, I hope they improve the damn aiming and stuff but thats about it).

The rollercoaster is apparently called the screamer. There's an ad for America's Next Top Hooker, Coming soon to CNT. (all from screenshots in dzjepp's post) and apparently in shot 16 there are two signs on the left, one saying "Welcome to Liberty City" and the other saying "I <heart> Liberty City". Does this mean they are putting us right back in Liberty City... GTA3 was my fave until SA, but still... I want new areas, bigger areas... too early to get that much info though I suppose. But the screenshots do show we're likely to be back in Liberty City, but this time as a "Rusky".

I know they'd never give GTA the rights to use real cities :icon7:

I don't remember the Russian Mafia in GTA3 though. If they've made the game bigger and better than SA, we should be in for a hell of a ride.
