Look at the first hit. :olo:

I'm drinking said Spaaten, btw. delicious, beautiful dark amber color.
Picked up a 6 pack of it. Smooth and rich. Also picked up a Young's Double Chocolate Stout.

Yeah I noticed the 7.2 % on the packaging. :) This is my first double bock. I'm going a little slower than usual. But not much. I think Shiner Bock sits at 4 or 4.5 % and that's mainly what I've been drinking for the last couple of years.

If you go that route and if its available, try the Grand Reserve.

Its the best of the three that they make. You will be happy with it.

Pro tip, don't over pour a glass, as it likes to make a rather large head.

They had all three. My glass is pretty big, but I'll keep that in mind. The store owner was pushing it pretty hard, but I decided to wait a bit as I have my plate pretty full right now anyway.

Only 3 or 4 beers in here I haven't tried yet.

I'm pretty thirsty right now, getting ready to leave work.

Think I'll stop by the grocery store on the way home and pick something up.

Hmmmm. Murphy's Stout? Blue Moon? Paulaner? I'll have to see what kind of mood I'm in when I get to the store.

I wish I could buy Franziskaner in the stores around here. God I love that shit.

The store owner was also raving about Blue Moon. Supposed to be pretty good. Tried it?

So anyone drank a Young's Double Chocolate Stout before? Anything I should know?

Yep, it's a hefeweissen, if you like those.

The first time I had it, it was served with an orange slice of all things. But it was actually damn good - I prefer it that way now, although it's perfectly good without.

It's a fairly light-bodied beer though, as wheat beers go.

Yes I have drank Hefeweizens. Love them. Actually the guy that recommended it also recommended the orange slice with it. He said most use lime or lemon, but orange was the best.

Is one of the best that Youngs makes. Very pleasing to the pallet. Defiantly worth one try.

You pour the bottle till 1/3 is less, swile it and pour the rest.

Unfilterd beers/Ales taste best Because its as close to the keg you can get without buying a keg.
hmmmm, I was always taught that you roll the bottle before opening to gently remix the yeast throughout the content rather than leave it as a concentrate..... I've done that for years now, and dont like it when some nub just opens and pours a beer without proper care.

and Scourge - see if you can get your hands on some Coopers Vintage Ale, its limited release but worthy of the time and effort. Your tastebuds wil love you for it.

A friend brought a six pack of Old Leg Humper when he was in Ohio. It tastes like an Irish Car Bomb, but not as quite as thick as Guiness.

Im afraid there was a typo. It was not swill, but rather swirl. Or Mix up the remainder and pour.

I'm sorry for any confusion. And thanks for pointing that out. (mumbles under his breath as normal Neanderthals read it just fine)

Also, I might add, you typeod like a mad hatter too.
