Ive been having trouble using ASE(All seeing eye) with quake. When I join a non-default game style(freeze for example) I get a message saying "Invalid_CDkey", and when I join a default game such as CTF, I get "mis-typed cdkey?"
But the weird part of it comes in here. This only happens when I run quake through ASE. If I run quake from the start menu, and use the game finder in there, I can join CTF games fine. Even if I take the IP of the game, and use the specify button, I can join that game the same. I cant join other games though, such as freeze, which might jest be due to freeze not being installed right or something.
What am I/it doing wrong? Having ASE working would make joining so much easier.
Second, and slightly smaller question. Anything specific I need to download to play freeze games? I can figure out... Theres a folder named freeze in my quake folder, so I dunno.

Hi there. The following steps should solve your problem (provided you have a valid CD key):
- remove the q3key from your baseq3 and mod folders
- start up Q3 and enter your key
- pull down the console (tilde) and type: /timescale 100
- connect to a server
You can optionally add the timescale thingy to ASE's startup command for Q3A (+set timescale 100).
