And if you notice....each pack has one of three best songs so you can't just get Stellar, Killer Queen, and Bark at the Moon in one pack.o'dium wrote:They just released the first download pack for GH2 on Live, and I have to say... Fuck them.
I wouldn't mind paying a few points, ya know, thats normal. But 500 points for THREE songs.
Pack 1: "Bark at the Moon," "Hey You," "Ace of Spades"
Pack 2: "Killer Queen," "Take it Off," "Frankenstein"
Pack 3: "Higher Ground," "Infected," "Stellar"
You cant just pick your song, either. Thats 1500 points for all three packs. Thats $100 for the entire GH1 song set (£70) if you want them all.
Thats fuckin stupid. No guitar, no manual, no disk, no box, and £20 more expensive...
What a jip! I thought downloadable content was cheaper than sticking it on a disk, yet here its more expensive...
If MS dont change this money grabbing pricing shite pretty soon Live is gonna go down the toilet...
Guitar Hero 2 360 Thread.
Instead of playing the cunt part you do so well, why don't you just use that melon for a bit. Theres already a massive uproar over these prices, because they really are crazy. Its giving MS bad points in the public eye. That, coupled with the Gears shite thats going on ATM, is making people see MS a little worse than they had done.Jackal wrote:Yes. So either things change, or MS will really start to lose money. And we all know what that will lead to, even more cut backs.
So while it may seem like "one thing" to you, keep in mind this has happened before with Lumines and people boycotted MS for it. It all adds up in the end, and its not exactly painting the nice picture MS want of micro transactions is it?
500 points.
3 songs
3 songs mind you, that are on a game i already own.
Fuck that. GUess ill use my live points on something else. Im not paying for GH1 again at full price, or hell, 100 fucking dollars in points for it..
Man. thats really fucking weak.. They were promising packs of 5 and 10 songs for 500-800 points. not 3 songs for 500 points..
Dicks :-\

That I don't mind so much, ya know, new songs that are, well... NEW.MKJ wrote:itll prolly drop in price later. like the oblivion addons.
however, if they start doing new songs, the price will go up because it takes them quite a while to record, mix, tune and tab a song.
But stuff thats already available cheaper with more things else where is a tad retarded...
Define "Massive uproar".o'dium wrote:Instead of playing the cunt part you do so well, why don't you just use that melon for a bit. I agree with you that the songs are expensive but it's by no means enough to warrant an uproar.
Nothing like this is even going to put a dent in MS's image and it most certainly won't hurt their sales in the slightest. At worst people just won't buy these songs.
But you know... I do think most of the DLC on Live for games is expensive and pointless, because if you buy a ton of it the cost adds up. I think MS holds everybody by the balls with these prices. It's like most companies don't have a say in what can be released and how (like Epic wanting to release free GoW maps and MS said 'fuck you').
I hope overall DLC for games is a big flop on Live, can't really say for sure but I'm hoping it is. Of course they won't release the big details on the numbers for downloadable content because if it is doing poorly they wouldn't want us to know.

I WAS talking about the current ones dude, dunno about future ones.MKJ wrote:you dont know thato'dium wrote:Its also worth noting they are covers, not originals.
i mean, yea the current downloadable songs are covers, but who says they all will be?
there re already some originals in GH, not including the bonus tracks
Apparantly the patch is causing even worse problems for some users:MKJ wrote:patch for GH2 btw. seems like the whammy problem was in the software, not the hardware

The ring of death can mean anything from my 360 is fucked, to the wires at the back have come out.Eraser wrote:I find it odd.
What exactly does the Ring of Death indicate? Is it always hardware failure? I'm surprised that a game patch would be able to cause hardware failure.
Of course, as soon as some people see it once, they freak and get the unit replaced I bet... I've had it a few times, each time because my cable at the back wasn't connected after a clean up/move.
the latter, it went down a week after the initial year (
). MS replaced it for free, no questions asked. even came to my door to pick it up.
now im just waiting for the new console to be on my doorstep :icon32:
like i said, they sent me a mail last friday. the same mail also said they shipped it last tuesday though, so i wonder whats taking it. i'll be calling them somewhere this week if it still hasnt turned up - the incorrect UPS number is what worries me
