Yes or No. Is there a God.

One God or many for humans, that bought us into existence.

No fucking about. No arguments, just Yes or No.

I don't know. The rational part of me says no way. Some part of me wants to believe, though. Something like in Adam's God's Debris. So maybe I'm agnostic deist?!?!? I don't fucking know. I don't have a problem with a god that created the universe and the physical laws. I don't believe in virgin births, resurrection or any kind of miracle, for that matter.

But the god of Abraham or Zeus or that kind of shit? No way. The Flying Spaghetti Monster and Invisible Pink Unicorn are just as plausible.

I've been having this debate with myself since I was about 11 years old. I guess it was a bad idea for my Catholic parents to get me a subscription to National Geographic so I could read about 65 M year old dinosaurs, then go off to Sunday school and learn about Adam and Eve the 6 days of creation bullshit and Noah and his imaginary boat.

If you're talking about an actual entity that created us (not talking about the combined natural forces of the universe working together, etc.):

Almost certainly, no.

What about any type of conscious state? Does it have to relate to god? Or do you think it's going to be like sleeping without dreaming (not feeling or knowing anything).

With a shotgun to the temple, forced to a yes or no response without qualification or elaboration into the actual claim:
