School shooting #235335
Well, I agree that there were basically no tactics involved. The numbers really aren't that impressive to me. If this small classroom building is set up anything like a small classroom building at my University, then the numbers could have easily been higher. Reports show that he only shot up 4 classrooms. I'd guess there'd be 30 students per classroom. You go in there, unload both guns (thats 20+ rounds), walk out, reload (which would take no longer than 5 seconds per gun), walk back in and shoot some more. By that time, everyone is in shock and probably was thinking that you was leaving for good and not just going out in the hall to reload. When you're done with that room, you move on to the next one.

No one said shit about the ban effecting a huge decrease in all gun crime. And how is a statistically insignificant drop "very effective"? The ban was a stupid, knee-jerk political reaction.HM-PuFFNSTuFF wrote:lol who's trying shit on who?Nightshade wrote:Oh for fuck's sake Puff, don't try that shit on me. A drop from 4.8% to 1.6% of overall gun crime involving "assault rifles" is statistically insignificant. Yes, that's a 66% decrease, but it's a decrease in a very small number.
The ban was very effective on the weapons it targeted. How is the ban supposed to effect a huge decrease in all gun crime if the ban only targets some guns?
damn rich kids, with their trust finds, drinking cognac and vodka.Once, in English class, the teacher had the students read aloud, and when it was Cho's turn, he just looked down in silence, Davids recalled. Finally, after the teacher threatened him with an F for participation, Cho started to read in a strange, deep voice that sounded "like he had something in his mouth," Davids said.
"As soon as he started reading, the whole class started laughing and pointing and saying, `Go back to China,'" Davids said.

it should be noted that by tactics we aren't necessarily speaking of him dropping in on a zipline or rappelling down the side of the building and coming in through the window a la Sam Fisher.
He used a tactic - he chained the doors shut. This wasn't just a completely random shooting on a spur of the moment deal.
Everyone makes it sound like the mention of tactics implies he came in like a special forces op.

Just imagine. You have a vest full of clips, let's say 15 rounds per clip.
You chain the doors of the building shut, and it's during class so there's no one in the halls.
You walk from room to room, just opening the door, barely walking in, and quickly unloading your clip into a room full of students who are still sitting in their chairs. After the first couple of shots, they're up, but you still have a mass of people to fire straight into.
It's like shooting ducks in a barrel. They have nowhere to go, and you've caught them completely by surprise.
I'm guessing he had about 10 or 12 different classrooms he could do this to in one building.
I don't think it's hard to believe that he killed 3.2 people in each room.
All I'm saying is that I don't think what this guy did is impressive in any way. By the time he went to the second building, he already knew he was a dead man. He didn't have anything to lose, and he cowardly shot a bunch of unarmed and captive students, probably playing out some kind of psychotic fantasy in his mind.
If his XP was low, the recoil might have ruined his aim, sounds like he was a noob.

lol fucking loser, if I knew him IRL I'd bully him until he couldn't take it anymore.+JuggerNaut+ wrote:bwahahahahaFoo wrote:People make me laugh. "Who cares? He's here for our entertainment! He's the Korean guy to make fun of!"
But now that he gets back at them, "he's the bad guy!" People cry over their lost ones, but WOULD HAVE THEY CRIED if he committed suicide because of what society did to him? PEOPLE KNOW that when they bully someone it has a powerful, dangerous effect on the bullied. Yet, they don't care. Their entertainment comes first, of course.
Well guess what, the roles are now switched. Now it's their turn to fucking suffer. FUCK THE MEDIA, he IS the true victim. Stop making him look like a monster! This guy earned the right to such actions. I stand by his side 100% and pray his soul rest in peace

was reading an article by a psychiatrist saying the videos should be taken off the air:

i agree with this."I think that's very important for the viewing audience to understand. This is not him. These videos do not help us understand him. They distort him. He was meek. He was quiet. This is a PR tape of him trying to turn himself into a Quentin Tarantino character," Welner said. "This is precisely why this should not be released. Parents, you should cut the pictures out of the newspaper. Do not let your children see it. Take them out of the room when these videos are shown. Because he's paranoid and his agenda of blaming the rest of the world is unedited."
"There's nothing to learn from this except giving it validation. If this rambling showed up in an emergency room, my colleagues and I would listen carefully and, when we reflected that it was delusional, would go see the next patient and start the medication," he said. "This makes it sound like he was tormented. He wasn't."
