Captain Mazda wrote:So it seems like the media is turning him into a martyr yet calling him a villain. Interesting.
Upon what observation do you base the martyr statement?
I don't see it.

I've seen them say that he thought he was a martyr.

The Psychiatric Fag from ABC wrote:"This makes it sound like he was tormented. He wasn't."
This guy must have his own private definition of 'tormented' then. Jesus H. Christ. BAD NBC, BAD!! This is ABC calling for the waaambulance.

My guess is the psychiatric fagelatte is referring to "real life" physical or verbal abuse viz. torment, not "torment" caused by inner demons.

Then the phrasing was terribly ill considered. The guy does raise some valid points, but the hyperbole and snap judgements make him seem like a shill for ABC.

You had a hundred billion chances and ways to have avoided today. But you decided to spill my blood. You forced me into a corner and gave me only one option. The decision was yours. Now you have blood on your hands that will never wash off. I didn't have to do this. I could have left. I could have fled. But now I will no longer run. It's not for me. It's for my children, for my brothers and sisters ... I did it for them...

You just loved to crucify me. You loved inducing cancer in my head, terror in my heart and ripping my soul all this time ... You have vandalized my heart, raped my soul and torched my conscience. You thought it was one pathetic boy's life you were extinguishing. Thanks to you, I die like Jesus Christ, to inspire generations of the weak and the defenceless people.

Do you know what it feels to be spit on your face and to have trash shoved down your throat? Do you know what it feels like to dig your own grave? Do you know what it feels like to have throat slashed from ear to ear? Do you know what it feels like to be torched alive? Do you know what it feels like to be humiliated and be impaled upon on a cross? And left to bleed to death for your amusement? You have never felt a single ounce of pain your whole life. Did you want to inject as much misery in our lives as you can just because you can? You had everything you wanted. Your Mercedes wasn't enough, you brats. Your golden necklaces weren't enough, you snobs. Your trust fund wasn't enough. Your vodka and cognac weren't enough. All your debaucheries weren't enough. Those weren't enough to fulfill your hedonistic needs. You had everything ...

When the time came, I did it. I had to ...

This is it. This is where it all ends. End of the road. What a life it was. Some life.
Lol CHO was pretty hardcore. Would have loved to have chatted with him.

i haven't read much of this thread, but i've concluded that

a) zeroing in on the gun angle as euros/brits are wont to do tells us precisely zip about what happened (actually it says more about euro perceptions of america). it's a just a scripted response that gets regurgitated by the same people every time something like this happens, and

b) this is about celebrity culture, not gun culture. i mean, the guy takes a 2 hour break from shooting people to make a "multimedia manifesto" which he then burns to disk and DHLs to NBC. jesus, i'm surprised he didn't upload it to youtube and his myspace blog as well, not to mention torrent the thing. if it was just bullying, he could have skipped the multimedia and gone straight to the shooting

I don't know if this has been metioned here, but as far as the gun thing goes, many Americans don't like or even hate them but feel doing away with them severely errodes Constitutional rights... which in a time like now when the fed is taking every little bit it can makes people nervous about their rights.

Lol, you make a one word comment that leaves us hanging to figure out what you're talking about as to make yourself somehow look smarter than the rest of us. Yet most of us have already heard of the lone gunman at the space center...

interesting note:
Artist's Comments
Reconstitution based on accounts of survivors of the Virginia Tech College shooting rampage, where 32 people were massacred by a gunman.

(SECOND UPDATE - April 18)

More accurate depiction based on photos taken by the own gunman.

(UPDATE - April 18)
Adding new items to image, according witnesses.

1 - Glock 9mm pistol in his right hand
2 - Glasses
3 - Jeans
4 - Maroon cap
The gunman took photos during the incident? Anyone got info on this?
