I seriously hope not. Intel + nVidia monopoly would result in higher prices and slower technology improvements. Consumers benefit from the competition.

Well I never liked the idea of AMD and ATi joining. AMD needs to get something new and something cheap, like the days of the Athlon XP.

i agree with kills, the best past of amd was that you could get a chip for cheap and CLock it to your hearts Desire.

Now "mid range" Proc's are hovering $300+ on eather side and its shit to say the least.

Intel beat them down with the Core 2 Duo proc line. AMD just didn't step up to the plate in the dual core market.
