Its a page you an set up your own way, how you like it, so that when you start IE or whatever it goes straight to it, giving you the info it needs. For example the default layout shows you the news, time, weather etcSplishSplash wrote:To be honest: Maybe it's because of this huge hangover, but I don't get it.
Someone care to explain or link me to the story?

Your missing the point.Scourge wrote:Great, another customizable home page. Welcome to 10 years ago.
Google has had a personalized page for ever. The rebranding of it to iGoogle is the point of this thread.
In other words Google and Apple to investors :
Buy more stock. Trust us.

I think its very interesting that google and apple keep getting closer and closer. It all started with eric schmidt ( ceo of google ) getting on apples board of directors. Then when the iphone was announced the exclusive integration of the google mapping system was a little flag. Then when i saw google TV which is still in a hidden beta which will run in a youtube format compatible with apple TV, yet another. But iGoogle ? Could this be a sign of things to come? I think its a sign of one thing, to buy more stock in either company. At least apples in the short term.
Interesting write up on the future of apple and more so apple tv.

Personally i got my future tied up in apple, so for me, this is really exciting. Stock is supposed to split at the 100$ mark and then is expected to ramp up with the linear releases of the iphone, leopard and more apple tv services and the next wide screen video ipod.
So yea, just a interesting trend i thought i would share. If you ask me .... theres gold in them thar hills.
