Saw it last night... What a mixed bag... First of all, the best villain was Harry I thought? Venom was pretty pointless and his face was stupid. And the Sandman? What was the point of him? About 4mins worth of film time, and then "I forgive you!"? What? They should of just had one enemy, not 3. Sandman looked awesome though, very well done.

The best part of the film was when Parker went all emo on us, it was funny, and cheesy as hell. I actually thought "wow, glad I'm not him" when he was walking down the street like he owned the place.

Best thing in the film, by far, as always... Bruce. Why this man isn't still a big star I'll never know. I'm hoping that after "My name is Bruce" he does something big, he deserves it.

Worst part of the film... I dunno, I'm kinda torn on this... On one hand, I think that English news reporter. My missus actually turned to me and said "jesus..." when she start talking. I don't think I've ever seen acting that bad in my entire life. And I've watched a couple of UK soaps too. That, or the fact Parker ended up with MJ.

Why?

I mean I know its the story and everything... But fuck... Gwen was hot. Totally fuckable. And MJ is just... Well... Ugly. I mean seriously, if she wasn't already cast as MJ I would of said cast her as Venom with those teeth and veins sticking out every where...

One last gripe. The length. Was on about an an hour longer than I would of liked, with not enough oomph. I was constantly expecting it to reach the scale of the second. I remember my jaw hitting the floor when Parker stopped the train, THAT was awesome. Where was that part in this film? What the crane attacking the building? Meh...

On the plus side, the CGI was fantastic, probably the best I've seen for a movie of its kind. Its really come a long way. The action, which was on screen few and far between, was also awesome.

And the dance scene was gold. No matter what you guys think. It was pure, red faced, "OMFG" cheese factor 11, gold.

Over all, not the best end to an awesome trilogy, but a good effort none of the less.

6/10, with 1 point going for Gwen TBH, who saved this movie in a few places for me. She looks ok ginger in films, she should of been MJ instead of that ugly cow.

Spider man 3 - 6/10

Alright action, a bit too long. The ending was kinda meh, with everyone being friends and all. Both villains could have used more depth.

Best parts were Bruce Campbell as a French maitre d', and "evil" Peter Parker doing the John Travolta strut.

Alpha Dog - 4/10 Mediocre at best, slow, weak characters, totally unbelievable even though it's based on a true story.

Spiderman 3 - 7.5/10
It was good, I wasn't disappointed, but enough with the sappy engagement ring shit. It's like half the scenes centered around that thing. Otherwise, Sandman was badass, Venom was pretty cool (but not enough backstory) - I was even surprised to realize I thought Topher Grace did a decent job. What a cunt.

Casino Royale - 7/10
I loved the new guy as Bond. I probably would have given this film a 7.5 or probably 8, except for the fact that BOND FELL IN LOVE AND GAVE IT ALL UP FOR SOME WHORE, WTF? :icon27:

also, to catch up...

Nacho Libre - 5.5/10
Devil Wears Prada - 5/10 (not bad for a chick flick)
Children of Men - 6/10 (jesus, overhyped a little?)

Mr and Mrs. Smith - 7/10.

Not bad, very funny in places. So obvious them two were gonna hook up, there was almost no acting going on in some scenes, it just flowed, so natural. Was good until the end, were it pretty much sucked.

So, they are two agents, and they have about 100 OTHER agents, all proper trained, sent after them. They get stuck in a shed, and come out shooting, and nither of them gets shot once, yet they manage to kill EVERYBODY ELSE...? Hmmmm...

Plus its obvious she was the better agent...

It would of scored a little lower, but then this happened:

I was kinda disappointed.... Guess they had alot to live up to with SOTD. I guess I prefered N.Frost as the cool guy. Not the retaded son. 6.5/10 ( the point 5 is for the mustache joke...that I still find REALLY funny.

i do not understand why people still find angelina jolie hot.

she looks like a caricature - and the caricature isn't of a supermodel.

I watched The Big Lebowski (sp?). I liked it - rather surreal, but the ending didn't quite wrap everything up as well as I would have liked.

Letters from Iwo Jima 7/10

it's always hard to rate something based on real events. It was a good generalization of war events and the actions of those involved , yet this was supposed to be the story told from the other side. It was missing genuine feel, I didn't feel that their culture played much part in anyone's role. It felt as if I could've been witnessing the allied side of things...But I guess that was part of the point, the realization that they are not so different after all

yea, UV was pretty god awful.

rented the following recently:
Crank 3/10 - some amusing voice over, but otherwise a shit film. at least it didn't last long enough to be truly painful.

the pursuit of happiness 5/10 - yea yea, will smith, cry cry blah blah. whatever. the kid was annoying. as far as i'm concerned it's no better than Jersey Girl.

Crank was a decent enough film. Not great by any stretch but definitely entertaining. I have a soft spot for it because it's one of the first games I ever got placed.

luc besson's angel-a - 2/10

romantic, sugar-coated french language tale about a bum who learns to love himself with the help of an angel who learns some things about herself along the way, or something like that. pap.

jake west's evil aliens - 1/10

low budget british horror movie that tries to lay on the gore like 'brain dead' and fails. the best thing about it is that the short bird from 'bits' is in it and she has large tits. makes ultraviolet look like citizen kane.

paid 3 quid to rent 'children of men' and 50p each for those two - i feel robbed.

Epic Movie = 1/10 - Don't even stop to piss on it.

Spiderman 3 = 3/10 - Venom couldn't even save this movie. Even he was fucking lame.

Nacho Libre = 3/10 - I think I laughed once....ok three times.
