defense is exactly what ottawa has been beating people with.

and please... vancouver is nothing but a goalie. and the wild were mediocre at best. anahiem had it easy until detroit fell apart last night.

as much as I hate to say it, its true. Ducks are gonna win, easily.

I have watched them play all year, they are too good.

Not to mention they played in the west and didnt have shitty teams to pad their records.

Sharks v Ducks was gonna be the best series of the playoffs.

Anyways, ducks are too good. Very much like the sharks they are super deep, anyone can step up to make a play, and they are one of the best defensive teams in the league. When you can get production out of a defensmen like pronger, which they do, coupled with a goalie who can stand on his head and a deep offense, you win championships. and this is from me, i HATE the ducks.

What about Pronger? That he's a big, dumb fucker that can't play hockey?

Fuck's sake, Carlyle needs to bench "Shetzlaf" asap. Now Emery was out of his crease and dove like an Olympic swimmer, but Getzlaf has done nothing but take stupid penalties, some of which gave Ottawa's win on Saturday, along with Pronger's beautiful own goal.

Fucking hell.

hmm, I am surprised at how the series is going so far. I'm rooting actively for Ottawa, but would like to see Giguere and Selanne win it as well.

Ottawa has been so sporadic the entire time, and Emery.....wow. After Anaheim beat the Wings the way they did, I thought that Ottawa would roll right over them, but obviously that hasn't been the case.

No they wouldn't. Anaheim didn't play well in the first 2 or 3 games and it got them into trouble with Detroit. Once Pronger got suspended (thankfully), they started winning and gaining momentum. Detroit's defence wouldn't have been enough to shut down Ottawa's top forwards.

And what are you talking about Duhard? The Stanley Cup's been won by an Eastern Conference team almost exclusively in the past.

And yeah, Buffalo was a major disappointment. I think this was their chance and they blew it. I don't see their team being dominating anymore with the possible absences of Numminen and Drury and a couple others possibly.

I was just surprised by the fact that Anaheim even beat the Wings... I realize that they are quite a talented team, and played well together, but I expected the Wings to get past them.

I wasn't impressed with how they played the last few games of that series, and felt that they might come out of it with a little overconfidence.

But, as always, no I'm not surprised the team from the western conference is ahead... I do think that some teams in the eastern conference are finally playing like western conference teams (such as buffalo and ottawa).

yeah, alfie is a bit of a fucking tool.
after watching the last 4 games i may conceede that the ducks look like they're going to take it home this year.
Though i think it's more related to ottawa choking than anything the ducks are doing.
they aren't protecting emery as well as they did against buffalo and NJ; and the sens are fucking up the one thing they've been doing well since december by not dominating special teams. hell the ducks fucking gave them that game last night with all the penalty time, but the sens did what they love to do... choke and give up.

i'll still behind the sens though... only because i feel bad for the poor stanley cup if it has to goto Orange County California after spending the last few years in Florida and North Carolina.

Pronger has been their MVP all playoffs.
and the entire PPG line has been a big part of their entire season success. Benching Getzlaf would be almost as stupid as benching McDonald.
