That's strange. Mine are pretty effortless.

don't get me wrong, I have friends(well I see them as acquaintances)

but my definition of a friend hasn't come around in a long time, as for family, I'm 29 year old and right now I don't even have a girlfriend, and I'm not even doing anything about it, I just stay too buisy... problem with working for yourself is that you never have to punch in, and you don't have to punch out...it's really difficult to separate your life from your business

on a related note... why is it important to not burden family and friends... but strangers can go fuck themselves?

Selfishness. A rather necessary form of it, though.

for the most part my family just ignores me if i check in once in a while to let my parent's know i'm still alive. + the occasionaly obligitory visit with the extendeds.
never understood family ties; or why people are expected to like other's because of blood relation. my father is the only person i would ever associate with if we weren't related. everyone else is just too bloody different, and i could never hold more than a 5 min conversation with them before idology conflict caused some sort of argument. (rational debate is unfortunately not an option)

don't see why that should matter.
i'm respectful of everyone until they give me a reason otherwise.
reminds me of the "small business" image that gets perpetrated in this country. about how the little guy is so nice and should be helped out and comended for building something... but every small business i've ever worked for (or heard about from employees) is run by disrespectful ass-clowns that bend every rule and step on anyone's head that will get them one leg up in the game.

I very rarely see the extendeds, which is a good thing as most of them could have come straight out of deliverance. My immediate family seems to have escaped that phenomenon. I see them pretty often and get along with them very well.

my brother's ok... but he's spent most of his time in the military; stationed in southern states. so his world view is a bit different than mine. Other than that i just wish he could bring home a woman that isn't completely crazy. he has such terrible judgement on such matters.

I'd punch my brother in the face if he wasn't my brother, that's how I feel, we have different outlooks on some very fundamental moral issues

of course it fucking matters, having a family/friends/relationship is not like running a business, maybe thats why you have a shit one?

respecting ALL people and making a conscious effort to avoid things that make their lives more difficult is a value i wish more people had.

Me and my brothers beat each other routinely when younger. Probably why we get along so well now.
