It's not a proper Heath Robinson contraption cause it uses candles which are already lit.
Those bits could be skipped, though, so the rest holds up to scrutiny.
Also, it's not really a Heath Robinson contraption cause it doesn't do anything at the end.
Also, how can that be the new YouTube when it doesn't do fullscreen properly? (It squashes the picture).

Wikipedia says that they mean the same thing, or "simmilar", as they put it. It says that Rube Goldberg was an illustrator aswell. The only difference apparently is a Rube Goldberg machine can mean an overly complicated system of any kind.
