It's always nice to see someone reading, but there's no reason whatsoever that should have cost you three digits.

The real really easy place to go broke is eBay. I've bought all manner of books, CDs, DVDs, clothes, a digicam, an MP3 player and god knows what else on there, all either rare [talkin about the books/clothes/CDs here] or way cheaper than retail ... but when it's cheaper you buy more, so while I've gotten a hell of a lot more than my money's worth, I've still blown thousands of dollars on there in the last year.
The only thing I've ever bought off of eBay is a part for my car.

I must be some kind of throwback or something.

same here. i can easily spend a couple of hours in B&N. same thing with CD's. if i can get it at my local shop (Zia Records), i get it there and usually wind up buying other stuff on top of it.

I bought a functional light saber the other day for 90 Euro. I'm gonna buy three more.

I waste money cause I want to and because I'm a goddamned nerd.

The way I see it...if you spent $112 on books...you probably already wanted to.

how about bypassing B&N and finding a little local bookshop where the person behind the counter has time to find out what you like and point you there and even discuss books with you... its good for them and its good for you....
