"Connection interrupted"..........

Post by ice wim »

Hey, I did two updates on Q3 (osp Quake3 -1 03A and Q3 pointrelease 1.32) and after that I find more games online, thats true, but.......in most games i get "connection interrupted" flashing on screen and the game runs everything but smooth.....it stutters like hell!!
My ping is then 400 while otherwise it is below 100.

Is there something to do about that?

Last time i played you you had pretty normal ping. Maybe you're just connecting to the wrong servers.

That's possible.
Now I played and there was no problem........but there were much servers in wich I had the same problem so I tought it may be a bug in the update or something.

are you using The All Seeing Eye for your game browser? if not, i would suggest it. sort by ping and be a happy *cough* camper.

I also find downloading a few big programmes whilst playing doesnt help my ping either :icon22: , even with broadband :icon26:

But you all knew this anyway, and a wireless connection seems to raise the ping, though only a little.

try typing com_maxfps 125 in your quake3 console and see if it improves.

you may have com_maxfps set to 0 which kinda sucks for online play

Check your /rate, /com_maxfps, /snaps and /cl_maxpackets settings.
