"The Quiet Earth".
Edit: I just read the IMDB description of it, and it doesn't seem to be about dimensions or parallel universes.
well it kinda depends on how you look at it, i suppose. you can limit yourself to a certain definition, or explore beyond it to find out theres actually a bit more than just 'scientific magic'.DTS wrote:I disagreed with him aswell but I haven't seen those films, just knew the gist of them, or one or two of them anyway, so I couldn't form an arguement.iambowelfish wrote:I take your brain to another dimension

Pay close attention
I'm gonna disagree with these, since the other world in these movies is internal, a dream, the subconscious mind. It's not real and nobody actually goes there (except in BJM they do physically go inside so that sortof counts).MKJ wrote:Mulholland Drive, Being John Malkovich, Eternal Sunshine
It's not an alternate reality, it's an extension of reality. I read that Eternal Sunshine is about changing memories; well that's the same reality it's just a different way of looking at it.MKJ wrote:still plays with the ideas of alternate realities though.
oh and props for the oldskool lyrics
Also, you said The Matrix (earlier), that's about virtual reality not alternate reality. A virtual reality is, again, an extension of reality.
Also, I know the tune those lyrics are from, but is the speeded up sample from a film or something? I'd like to see it if it is.
Time travel doesn't really count, unless it's about parallel universes.r0n1n wrote:If you're interested in games and you haven't played it, I'd recommend giving Chrono Trigger a shot. It pulls off the whole time travel concept better than any other game I've seen.
