Btw, played as GDI a couple of rounds. Weapon sounds are better, there is more "oompf" in the weapons. I like the rocket launcher, it's ok. The GDI vehicles handle a little better too.
The sounds are probably the suckiest I've heard in a game in a long time, not only that, the sound code is insane... I'll be getting shot and it will sound like its from 2 feet away, I'll turn around and I'm being shot at from half way over the map...? Its almost like they took the easy way out and just had a "near" and a "far" sound, and just swapthem out at X distance. Easier on netcode but damn you cant hear shit. I don't even think they lower the volume.
Plus some the weapons just sound wrong. Why should foot steps be louders and have more omph that firing a weapon...?
Beta really is the word for this, shame its out in 2 weeks, none of this will be fixed for launch.

dunno what all you girls are crying about, im having a blast, and its a beta for christ sake. 800mb, and probably a shitload of gfx dumbed down to make it more compatible for the 60k beta testers.
