I've had my share of spills on my bike, of course cycling 120+km's a day will do that if you do it over the course of 3 years you're likely to see some crazy stuff too.
-I've been hit by a vehicle twice
-I've hit a vehicle once
-Stopped by the cops twice (speeding)
-Several accidents during races
a similar thing happened to my uncle a few years ago. except he did land on his head. luckily he was wearing a helmet. the helmet shattered into several pieces so chances are his head would have split open without it. the fucker that caused it to happen tried to run too but some others who saw what happened stopped him.
