I just wanted to thank everyone again for all of their help. I bought some shotty no name camera on clearance at my job and I'm still toying with it so I snapped some pics of the pc beast:
Thanks again to all of you who were patient and helped me out!
I'd personally go for the Intel Core 2 Duo and Asus P5NSLI or Striker Extreme. I can't decide between an 8600GTS Extreme or a 7950GT.
I really need to make the jump to PCI-E. This computer has been doing great so far, but there's no way in heck it'll run Assassin's Creed or Gears of War or any of the future titles for that matter.
How is that monitor? I am going to get one soon for college and am looking at that Samsung primarily for the response time. Does it ghost at all? The one place I am always tell a difference between LCDs and CRTs is when scrolling fast through pages of text, does it ghost like other LCDs or is it quick and smooth like a CRT?

I was worried about LCD a little because I had heard horror stories... but this thing has been wonderful for reading, gaming, whatever. I have not noticed any ghosting, no.
For the price (I think it was $280 after my MIR)... I think it cant be beat.
I don't... This is my dining room. There's no need to close that door. Leads to a hallway. I have another door blocked off in the living room with my entertainment center.
You're not one of those people who never leaves the house are you? Or have dead bodies behind all those doors? Doors that lead nowhere intrigues me... likes something out of the twilight zone.
I'm also intrigued by your choice of desktop wallpaper. Care to explain?
The door behind the entertainment center leads to the bedroom... but if you go out the doorway next to the computer desk and take a left the bedroom is right there, hence no point in that door.
I'm never home anymore. The house is too empty... I listen to music and play quake the little bit of time I am here. I only came here today to clean up after the... get together I had last night. I'm only home about 2-4 hours a day.
That's where the wallpaper came from... and the girl is hot and the picture is sexy... plus it intrigues the guys that come over. It's quite the conversational piece.
