Just did a health screening test for a program my work does so I can get free surfing trips, nintendo wii, etc just for exercising and attending health related lectures
Running is the last thing I like to do and I can't remember the last time I did it, so at the end of the test when they said I had to run a mile I was like fuck. Still, 6:50, not as bad as I expected. BP was 96/64 though
5 yrs ago, high school gym class. 7:something. I was almost in as bad of shape as I am now. All I remember is some bitch slowly passing me on the final lap. The only reason I had anything as low as 7 is because I decided that I'd rather fucking die than have that bitch pass me. She still passed me.
the last time i ran was 4th of july on a 5k, and that was the first time i had ran in 3 months. I ran a 21:45 on it, so that averages to about a 7:15 mile for 3 miles. I know I can run a sub 6 minute mile though, if that is as far as I am going to run.
And I ran on the 4th to see if my achilles was all healed up and indeed it was, no pain at all and it is still feelin' good. It looks like I am back on the running scene, although I'm still not going to run because I don't feel like it
Tomorrow is a pull-up competition and I'll participate to get a free shirt, and I guess to see how many I can do still. Last year at airborne school I could do between 15 and 20 at any given time.
running is one of those things that i've never had a problem doing and is just dumb easy for me. when i used to do it regularly i could easily get under 5 min for a single mile. that's when i realized that if if i wanted to stop looking like a toothpick running wasn't exactly the best exercise to do.
so now, i have no idea. i'll run a mile tomorrow and let ya'll know. probably around 6-7 mins i'm guessing.
well in 1865 every dude had like beards and mustaches so i'm sure that added a bit of drag. properly shaven i'm sure he could've cut AT LEAST 30s off that time.

not to mention they didn't have all the knowledge we have today that allows us to optimize workouts with intervals, VO2MAX, heart rate monitors... it's amazing what a good training regiment can do to ya.
i honestly can't understand how people can stand to take steroids. i had to take a fairly moderate dosage of steroids for 2 weeks to get my poison oak infection under control and i hated it. sure i had lots of energy and the motivation to go throw shit around but it fucked up my sleep cycle and made me cranky as hell. i actually started shit for no reasone which is way out of character for me. anything that fucks with hormones like that is bad in my book.

Why don't you come here and I'll fuckin show you how that shit works?
no seriously, give me a call next time you're in seattle
p.s. who the fuck cares about steroids in baseball? How the fuck do you cheat in baseball? You hit a fucking ball with a stick - joe rogan
I think around 7 minutes at my absolute lowest level of fitness, I could probably go a good way under 6 minutes had I been exercising as regularly as 2 years ago, not that great but never mind.
That's the problem with having the make-up of somewhere between a very average sprinter and a very average distance runner: reasonable stamina but you can't do either discipline particularly fucking well

anything under 6 minutes is inexcusable
Man, now you're just phoning it in. See what happens when you lose focus? Your troll doesn't even make sense. Stop obsessing about cocks for five minutes and get back on your game.
My best mile's about in the mid-7's. I'm not much of a runner.
lol if it makes you sleep at night
any nonobese man without injuries should be able to run a mile under 6 minutes if they put in 100% effort
even when i wasnt very active i could run over 3 miles at a 6 minute/mile pace
