Bioshock PC Interface

Anyone else think it looks like arse? I'm sure its functional and the actual game looks fantastic of course, but come on... the typography is horrendous! Heres hoping for user-made custom UI's already...

hmm, yea they should have done a better job of anti-aliasing the typefaces

oh, and those cartoonish drawn icons look pretty bad too, and why use shitty low-res textures in the UI?

I like the art deco style though

Yeah, I must admit, I was rather underwhelmed by this considering all the noise they had been making about having a whole other team dedicated to the PC interface.

On a Bioshock related note, Game on Oxford Street has a big-ass Big Daddy menacing the doorway :D

I'll be getting the PC version to mess with but I'll be playing the 360 one serious, so this matters not young ones.

might be an intended effect - sort of rusty uber flat.

I dont see what the problem is really, its just a UI, and its nowhere near as bad as the one Oblivion shipped with on PC... Now THAT was an issue.

You wont be using it all that much, just for hacking, upgrades and the like. The core gamplay will still be first person and we all know how stunning that is.

I do agree its a bit to cluttered and "HUGE" for my liking, a bit basic, but hell, if it does its job, then who cares. Nothings gonna knock this game off my 11/10 anticipation rating.

They could have given us a basic port but they didn't, you gotta thank them for that.

That UI reminds me of The Chaos Engine or something.

Hey, they've got a pipemania mini-game. That's gonna be addictive for some peeps for sure :D

Aside from that yeah, looks like the old system shock/thief/dark engine UIs =/

meh, I'm still waiting mainly for HL2E2, finally beat hl2 and ep1 a few weeks ago. I still don't know what to think about Bioshock. It won't run on this laptop, and I really don't want to buy games for our 360 since don't own it.
what lies beyond...
