Rainbow 6 Vegas issues

Allright, i got this game.. install it.. update it..

go to start it up, the updater checks for updates, looks for the DVD, finds it.. then NOTHING..

presing alt+ctrl+del the only process that is running is PunkbstrA.exe, i close that manually then try again and nothing runs..

the only other thing that i can see happening when this occurs is two files are created in the Binaries directory, Memdump.dmp and SI.bin

i am 99% sure that its a engine Crash, but i cant figure out what is doing it.. you can see the R6Vegas_Game App start, then close..

Nope, XP..

Daemon tools are installed, i disabled them as per the instructions of the game

GPU? This game needs a power house card and wont even run on most older cards, never mind run slow.

It sounds a lot like Deamon or something is still messing it up. Some games REALLY dont like tools like that, and even if they are installed will REFUSE to load

I suggest you try and find a crack for it, and if it loads, you know its the protection on the disk making a scene.

2gigs OCZ PC-800 Cas 4
windows XP SP2

i will give uninstalling Daemon a try... i hope that works

I just got it for the 360.
I wish I got it for the PC because I really don't like using a controller for fps.
But at least I really don't have to make quick aims, unless I'm going to play multiplayer.
