Tammy is dead

Post by 7zark7 »

Tammy Faye Messner, who as Tammy Faye Bakker helped her husband, Jim, build a multimillion-dollar evangelism empire and then saw it collapse in disgrace, has died. She was 65.

Messner, who had battled colon cancer since 1996 that more recently spread to her lungs, died peacefully at her home Friday, said her booking agent, Joe Spotts, in an e-mail to the Associated Press.

A family service was held Saturday in a private cemetery, where her ashes were interred, he said.

Saw her on Larry King last night...and she already looked dead.

here's the clip: ( its creepy)

I used to think that she was a makeup-caked, lying, fundamentalist shitstain, and she may actually have been. But after watching her on that season of The Surreal Life she seemed to be a decent sort. She was pals with Ron Jeremy, so that alone wins her points. That and the fact that she admits her ex-husband is a douchebag.

RIP weirdo.

I used to think the same thing about her, but she wasn't the one lying to millions of people about being the good Christian while strying to fuck around on her spouse with Jessica Hawn.

After that I felt a little more sympathetic towards her. Felt she was really on the level, while her douchebag husband was trying to fleece little old lady believers and she apparently was one of the believers.

Saw the Larry King thing too, and she was talking about how much help all the hospice people were doing with the wheelchairs and such. My Dad has emphysema and he now has a hospice nurse. While he is not about to kick it in the next day or so, they have started to provide oxygen for him, free of charge, and are on call so my mother can go grocery shopping or go to docters appointments. When she started proclaiming the goodness of the hospice folks, it really hit home for me and I felt a great deal of sympathy for her. She really looked bad :(
