Will Sergio win...

Post by tnf »

He's held on OK thus far, but I'm waiting for the putter to falter. I hope he does win though.

Weather has been a lot better than expected too.

fuckin sergio. i'd be happy if he won but it wouldn't be the first time he choked.

Jeebus what a final round and playoff this has been thus far. padraig birdies the first playoff, garcia bogeys, the garcia hits the flag off the tee on the next hole. The putter did get him in the final round a bit. Steve stricker really choked with the putter.

I was playing terrible golf Sunday morning, but got to the bar in time to see all of the playoff holes.
So I'm guessing Stricker didn't shoot another 64? :)

I wanted Sergio to birdie and Harrington to bogie so we could see some more golf!

blah, I can't believe Sergio missed so many close putts.... gotta suck :tear:

Still, very entertaining. He'll get another chance. On the other side, I've always liked Harrington's quiet play.

Sergio, in usual form, had excuses for everything. (having to wait too long to hit his second shot on 18, bad break hitting the flag, never getting good breaks, etc.)

He needs to grow up and own the fact that his putter let him down again.

actually, the way I putt, a belly putter probably wouldn't hurt me either. When I go to swing towards the ball after my backswing, I tend to cut inside instead of straight forward like a "normal" pendulum. From what I understand, it helps correct that (I could be misinterpreting the commentators' take on the club).

Yea, I agree about Sergio, but I was still rooting for him. Man, he looked like me out there (nevermind that I can't read putts like that).
