simple networking question

If you have a small network at home [4 computers, all cabled] but you have a wireless router becasue of a laptop.

At present it is unsecured. If I reset the router will it then ask me to set up a password so I can make it secure? It is a Dlink router. I assume I put in a password and then do I have to do the same on the laptop or is it automatic once the rouiter is set up as secure?

it won't ask you jack if you reset it. it'll just reset to defaults. go to Dlink and look up the model number and how to setup WPA/WPA2. i wouldn't recommend using WEP for security.
