"Cannot find *.wav using default"

Post by OkyDooky »

What the crap is the default?!?!?!?
*Huff* *Huff*.
Basically I'm trying to put in new sound effects and every time I do I receive this message. Also, I can't find any scripts that would signify what the default is.
I even modded a mod and now it still says that. Why the crap can't I put in new sounds?

The sound files have to be in the correct format. Not sure what format it is, but look at any of the standard wavs to find out.

Also the wav will have to be in a .pk3 unless you set sv_pure 0 at the console.

'K, thanks. I actually kind of found out the problem...it was in the archiving not the file. I used WinRAR and I can either archive it as RAR or ZIP, and I thought that if you change the extension it would change the file...it did, but I left the encoding type at RAR (which I thought that just determined it's extension), so I had a .pk3 with a RAR encoding. Thanks guys.
