OMFG i cant get any server on mine!!!! help!!!

Start with the basics................

You have Quake 3 Arena installed.
The latest Point Release (1.32) installed.
You started the game and hit "Multiplayer" and nothing shows up because you have to select "Internet" as the source and not "Local".
Hit Space to refresh and turn on PB.

Why can’t I seem to find servers or get “No response from masterserver”?

The ingame server browser in Quake III Arena has always been quite clunky & slow, in addition to having issues resolving the current master server @ master3.idsoftware.com (at one point it was q3master.idsoftware.com, which the ingame browser may still be trying to resolve unsuccessfully).

Most everyone uses a third-party game browser/launcher of some sort nowadays – here are the most common choices:

All Seeing Eye (ASE) someone here says that ase comes with a Trojan, jury is still out on this,try one of the others if in doubt.
Xfire
Gamespy Arcade
HLSW
Qtracker

they've deemed that file in the ASE folder a false positive. took the fags forever to respond though:

depends,i've played on torments insta server in california and got 370-390, and also played on 9L's ctf servers in NY and got 250-300.
euro servers are out, never got under 500,which makes it unplayable when you get sub 20's on oz servers.
and this is on cable not adsl

the best BEST ping ive got on an American server was 395 in a duel. It fluctuates from taht up to 440
