If he's thinking about dropping the cash on a D200, he should already know what he wants and what he's buying... considering it costs about two grand for the kit. One you reach that level, it's all the same. The only real difference is Canon's superior performance at high ISO.

I've printed xpan negs at 10x27 from V700 scans. The neg holders on either scanner suck, though. I've been thinking about buying one of those third party holders, but haven't seriously considered it.
