what a shit selection. robert patrick would suck as the g-man, colin farrell doesn't have what it takes to be gordon's comic foil (barney); sean connery as dr breen? gethafuckouttahere!. i approve of jean reno as father grigori however, and jamil mullen

and as for tom cruise as gordon freeman - which one of your testicles would you like me to spare? *reaches for handy crowbar*

I agree about Goldblum. And Robert Patrick actually seems just as suited to the role of G-Man as Nighy is.

Have you played trough the Half Life 2 singleplayer?
That is the question many characters in the game ask, then wonder how he blows to shit the whole Combine army.
We've all heard about stories of the nerd who gets frustrated at work and ends up going on a shooting spree. Here we have a nerd with a freaking power suit who is out of Prozac and having a really long, hard day at the work having torn open a hole in the space time continuum and having been tossed between two different dimensions several times only to find himself in a dystopian future ruled by aliens where he has to bail his friends out of trouble several times, is starting to feel frustrated at having the entire weight of the human race resting upon his shoulders and is really pissed of at everybody shooting at him. Combine army? Bring it.

I always thought of Freeman being Sheen. No contest.

Hell if you have seen the Arrival, you will know why. He fits the part perfectly.
