World of Warcraft released today in Europe

Post by moifah »

I *was* getting it but up until the Error 132 and my PC rebooting all the time and the lack of a patch it's not looking likely now..

Hmmm, not into RPG games, tried a few(Anal fantasy X,Morrowind,KOTOR etc) and i never got hooked, WoW seems to be THE rpg though.... might give it a go.

Is it a monthly fee? (hate that  )

There's rumours afloat of a Diablo 3 in the works.

imho diablo1 was better than diablo 2 (which again was better then it's expansion pack due to uber-items)

diablo1 had a perfect atmosphere: "stay a while and listen" + the perfect tristram soundtrack

but - comparing WoW to D2 is only right on a superficial level.
partying in wow is a lot more fun - so is grinding.

furthermore i prefer the 1on1 combat situations in wow over the hack 'n slay masacre in d2.

fighting some of the instance bosses in a group of five is really some good fun.

I like RPGs but hate ones you have to pay for.

In my imagination Pauly won the lottery and lives on the british virgin islands in a mansion with lots of women and MMorpgs.

What we really need is a WoW demo for like 7 days or so.

you will be able to buy GameWinner ( i think the name is) cards soon, which give you a month's worth of WoW playing time. no cc needed. good initative IMO, especially in dutch0land where the density of broadband connections is the highest in europe while the amount of creditcards is the lowest.

But I'll still have to buy the game first, right?

Those cards are a good idea, but I don't even know if the game runs on my computer (It won't, I'm just argueing for the sake of principle here).
