Time for the next round. And as an addendum for the scare it's 20.000 additional keys.

Still a steaming pile of shit for me... 25 minute wait time still before I can even start to download.

Valley should be a fun map.

its a lot better, the new map is waaaaaaaay better. Visuals are nicer too and the terrain all seems to blend, i dunno it just doesn't stick out as much as sewer did.

The new sounds are great, so much better.

That said, it still feels a bit wibbly wobbly. Its still hard to hit anything when moving, or when ITS moving... Its Quake but with real world weapon spread, better than the last beta but still...

I couldn't get my own private home game with bots to load, and seeing as half the commands are still stripped out (like map ffs), I couldn't really be bothered. I'll try at the weekend.

But yeah, in short, a LOT better, but still has some ways to go.

I'm amazed at how much smoother it runs. I actually kill what I aim at. Sounds are quite nice, explosions, gunfire, even jumping sounds better. Didn't get too much time to play it just yet. I'll be online later tonight... 9:00 Eastern.

seems aight. new hud icons and shit seems better. I don't understand the map yet. All I know is the gdf have to build the bridge. They couldn't build it when I played, so the rest of the map is a mystery to me.

Played some last night, I like it. 4 objectives on the map. They fixed it so you unlock everything faster. I was able to get all the upgrades for constructor.

DooMer, you playing much? We miss your l33t medic skills.

If anyone is interested in playing with the bots offline, there is a workaround that seems to do the job just fine.

More information here & here.

It's a bit more responsive. I was sniping Stroggs from quite a distance with the assault rifle and some sounds are improved. They just need to fix the vehicle jerkiness and some of the weapon sounds on the new gunships.
Also, I seemed to be getting annoying split-second freezes every minute or so, most likely due to lag. I was playing on a good server but I think PB may have been the cause.
Also, I thought this beta would add Valley, not replace Sewer :/

been getting the same, and frequent crashes - but the game 'feels' better otherwise. the ground vehicles are still pants.

What do you guys think of ET so far? Any good? Worth playing in beta?

Its pretty awesome, but I think the map featured in the last beta was better. A lot more spam going on in this one. Definitely worth playing if you can get in.

I've been testing offline play this week, and even the bots are pretty amazing. Simply the best AI in any game to date. They will complete objectives, drop deployables, drive vehicles and use all their class specialties. It's really hard to distinguish between bot and human player.

I've had bots flank me from behind. I've been back-stabbed by disguised covert-ops/infiltrators a few times, enough to make me shoot my own guys just to make sure they aren't an enemy team member trying to sneak up on me. :paranoid:
