The star it's orbiting is called GQ Lupi... Not to be confused with it's brother star, Stud Barleson.

The star, GQ Lupi, has been observed by a team of European astronomers since 1999. They have made three images using the Very Large Telescope (VLT) of the European Southern Observatory (ESO) in Chile.
This almost seems too funny to NOT be an april fools joke.

I think it's funny, the fact that today happens to be april first makes it a funny coincidence.

Soon enough.
As soon as nanites take center stage, we'll have 900PHz computers, 100TP personal digital cameras that are just as good as a microscope but take perfectly sharp 3D images, and everything gets to be so fast that no one cares anymore.
