I stopped after I spent half the first level shooting flies or some shit and I got killed a few times then said 'lol fuck this trash'.Don Carlos wrote:I think that Diakatana's first 2 levels were terrible, but after that they are quite good *blush*

Wouldn't of.o'dium wrote:For a launch game King Kong impressed me, graphics wise at least... You can get 1000 points from that game jsut for playing it to the end, which takes a few hours, and I dont have 1000. Shows how interesting it is.andyman wrote:King Kong, and FarCry Instincts, both on 360. god awful games.
FarCry on 360 was just a huge let down... It wouldn't of been so bad if they fixed the controls. They some how managed to get the sticks totally messed up from the last version, so you couldn't hit anything...

how's that? i found the game to be very boring and repetive.Grudge wrote:Oblivion is one of the best games I have played.

yep, me to.
Re: "worst FPS games you've ever played"
i know that, you boring cunt.
Re: "worst FPS games you've ever played"
On some levels it's highly repetitive - there's a lot of spell making and ingredient mixing, the dungeon areas are all prefab stuck-together arrangements, and they sadly nerfed the AI just before release (the tech demo stuff they released showed wayyyyy more variety)Pext wrote:how's that? i found the game to be very boring and repetitive.Grudge wrote:Oblivion is one of the best games I have played.
On the other hand in RPG terms the size and quality of the environment, number of missions and variety in weapons and especially enemies is pretty vast compared to anything else in its genre. Plus Oblivion finally got the things that RPGs needed to crack the mass market: full voice acting, full 3d environment, console-friendly controls and visible, real-time combat among other thing.
Re: "worst FPS games you've ever played"
For me, mainly atmosphere, beautiful surroundings and huge amount of things to do.
Re: "worst FPS games you've ever played"
What I never got about Oblivion is that you can make some really strange, cool and different faces using the face gen tech at the start...
But it seems like there are only 5 heads in the entire game when you play...?

Re: "worst FPS games you've ever played"
i think it made it to the mass marked because there was a huge hype. i remember everyone talking about the endless possibilities of the citizen-ai. that's what made me play the game. i was disappointed however, as it was nowhere as great as they told us.Foo wrote:On the other hand in RPG terms the size and quality of the environment, number of missions and variety in weapons and especially enemies is pretty vast compared to anything else in its genre. what concerned me is that the environment was large; true. but i only had the feeling of quality for the first 10 hours. after that everything seemed a bit loveless; the same caves and dungeons placed randomly over the map. some generic medieval cities. and lots of nature. to me the world seemed pointless. the game lacked polish in this area.
next to this i think the look and feel of the game was never thought of as important by bethseda. the controlls in battles were strange; the interfaces were no fun to use; and the instant traveling was implemented without giving it much thought: it just gave away atmosphere. why no portals? wizards to pay?
overall i felt the game was incomplete. when compared to the beautifully crafted world of warcraft, oblivion feels like an unfinished building. the walls and doors are there, but there are no tables, beds, etc... and no wine in the cellar.
they had all the ideas but did none right.
except maybe the quests. they were great, i think. but most felt disconnected from the rest of the world.
