I need a music suggestion

Post by Transient »

On Sundays I am on the road for several hours, and I'd like some music to listen to when I get tired of listening to podcasts. What's some good upbeat techno-type stuff that'll pass the time? Paul Oakenfold's Faster Kill Pussycat single is an example of what I like, but I don't really know that much about techno/trance/dance/whatever to really know what else to look for. Since so many of the songs I like are remixes, I don't know where to start. :/

If you like upbeat (but not too happy & chirpy) tunes, try: Sven Vath, Chris Liebing, Steve Rachmad.

If minimal (click click pock tss) is your thing: Richie Hawtin, Ricardo Villalobos, Karotte, Mathew Jonson, Steve Bug

If progressive is more your thing: Josh Wink, James Holden, Anthony Pappa, Nick Warren.

I will check these out, and Infected Mushroom, too. I used to listen to them a lot a few years back.

you should give miles davis and john coltrane a try. haha i bet you will throw the cd out 2 minutes into it. then maybe try some hardcore punk, such as bad brains for example, which you will probably tolerate for a bit longer, but still will have to chuck out. good luck, adventurer.
