Grudge wrote:Hey, here's a protip for all you guys who give 8 or 9 to every movie you see (I'm looking at you, zark and Spazda):

Create an imdb account and start rating every movie you see there. In that way you can check your voting history and compare movies with each other to give them a more fair rating.

So for example, when you see D-War sitting there right next to Apocalypse Now and Gladiator at 9/10 you might want to reconsider and give it a rating based on what it's actually worth, and not on some kind of post-coital excitement of the moment.

Here is my voting history for example:

http://www.imdb.com/mymovies/list?l=15106473
I'm sorry... but you're having a hissy fit about somebody liking The Matrix, calling it overrated, and ragging on people for voting high on movies they like....

Yet you give Gladiator a 9.

I don't think you have the right to tell someone that their opinion of the Matrix invalidates any other movie critique they make.

Halloween - 7/10

Zombie did a pretty good job IMO. The actor who played young Myers is one creepy fucking kid.

Not particularly, no. I do think it's a good movie, but not 10/10. You were just giving people crap for what you think is an overrated movie, but then list Gladiator -- a far more overrated film -- as a 9/10.

Yes, The Matrix is overrated. Yes, Gladiator is too.

rofl, there you go again with your "holier than thou art" attitude :olo:
Listen up fucktart, this thread's about your own opinions on movies you've watched. You might as well pack up and drive the rating bandwagon to the Void so you'll have some more obsessed faggots to play with in the sandbox

After all, I'm an awesome person and enjoy movies I watch and you're just a boring swe-douche with self-esteem issues :olo:

Way ahead of you, Swede (as usual):

http://www.imdb.com/mymovies/list?l=23228019
You gave 300 a '1'? You realize that's grounds for having your Man Club card revoked, right? ffs.
And Gladiator a '2'? WHAT. THE. FUCK.

OK, you actually watched Starshit Poopers 2. You're fired.

I actually decided as a public service to watch an hour of it, assume the rest, and then give it a 1/10 to collectively decrease its score and make sure no wretched soul is ever crushed under the sheer bullshit of ST2

Resident Evil Extinction - 6.5/10

It had Mila wielding a couple of kukhris against an army of the undead. Thats cheesy goodness IMO.

Who Framed Roger Rabbit: 7/10

Pretty funny, and it's neat of course to see the cartoon characters from various and sundry movie studios interacting for the first and only time. (Bugs Bunny and Mickey Mouse are even carefully given the same amount of screen time and the same number of lines.) But it oscillates kind of weirdly between very juvenile and relatively adult humour, so much so that I got bored with it during some of the kiddie bits, but I wouldn't want to show it to children.

The Queen: 9/10

Wow. I wish I hadn't waited this long to see it.

The Kingdom - 7/10 Excellent action flick, pace builds very well throughout the film. More than a bit implausible scenario, but a worthwhile movie.

The Kindom of Heaven

A different movie, I'm sure.

9 points for this Ridley Scott film.

I liked KOH (eva green's hot) but ridley scott was trying too hard to remake gladiator and cross it with Troy. And Orlando Bloom has awfully frail shoulders to bear the weight of a city ... or even such a movie.
