Okay, about the Samsung 226BW again.
Because HD generally is for 16:9 monitors and only 16:9 resolutions are supported by Xbox 360, it is possible that the 360 will stretch the image to fill the screen on a 16:10 monitor.
16:10 resolutions:
1280x800, 1440x900 and 1680x1050
None of these are supported by the 360.
Has this been a problem for you guys or what? The aspect ratio of a 16:10 monitor and the resolution 1280*720 (720p), for example, do not match up.

Most monitors will scale to the REs, or you can set a 1:1 ratio in the options.. ( then you will get a Letterbox )

thats the one i have on my buy list from tigerdirect @ $279 or the 19" for $199+JuggerNaut+ wrote:if that's the case, what about this one? good price anyway, but..Grudge wrote:All 22" screens use the same panel, so they only differ in connections and build features/quality. They are 6-bit TN panels so don't expect super color quality.
I have a Benq FP222W though, and it works great for gaming and general computer use. The stand and bezel is very "neutral" looking. The Samsung has a thinner bezel, but I don't personally care much for the round stand, plus it's a bit more expensive.

But that's the problem: I'm pretty sure the 226BW does not have 1:1 pixel mapping. Most 22' widescreen monitors I've looked at don't have it.AmIdYfReAk wrote:Most monitors will scale to the REs, or you can set a 1:1 ratio in the options.. ( then you will get a Letterbox )
