I think what a lot of you forget is that the Chief skin above was a temp. The fans hated it. I hated it. You hated it. It was just noise, no detail. So they remade it. Now the new one doesn't have random noise, but you cant tell me its not detailed.

Jules, yes, hold on. It wont be OMG WOW PRETTY because of jpeg compression, and the angle wont be great because I'm zooming in, but yeah, hold on.
I'm not being a twat. What I said was true. Stop being a fucking fanboy and call a spade a spade. The game is good but it in no way looks as good as what's in that picture. Know why? Because my 40" LCD says so.
Wait, so putting a random noise filter over everything is now "detail"? They toned it down because half the Bungie forums cried murder at the fact he looked fucking shit. And he did. Hence, the final game looks loads better.

Gears looks better than this imho...I don't like the cartoony style of halo...even though it must be a great game, I think the style of graphics of gears is much better and reminds me of doom/quake...halo looks like dig dug 2 on hd...look into it, kids.

my 2 cents worth: Yes, the graphics range from "meh" to "holy crap that's cool", and yes, the gameplay hasn't changed a bit between the first Halo and this, but it still is immensely satisfying to butt-stomp a brute in the neck. I don't get why people are bitching about this game so much, when even with its flaws its a very entertaining experience.
