Does anyone still use the PSP?
Does anyone still use the PSP?
I'll be dusting mine off (literally) for the new Syphon Filter game...supposed to be quite nice and the first one was top-notch.

Then it will go back to sitting for another year.

Do you just play it around the house, or do you actually take it places and play it on the go?

Re: Does anyone still use the PSP?
yeah because brand loyalties aren't retarded at all
even it were made by snk it'd still be a shitty product.
tnf. the game actually looks decent which is rare for a psp title. i never played the original game as i was too transfixed on goldeneye at the time. i'm a bit curious too, do you use your psp mainly at home or elsewhere? seems like it would make a good distraction between classes (lunch, study hall, whatever).

Re: Does anyone still use the PSP?
Dusted off mine just recently, because of this new game, plus FFV CC came out (Only played the Japan version but its stunning, really REALLY good), oh and there is a God of War demo and Silent Hill demo "out" if you know where to look.
Maybe, just maybe, good times ahead...?

No, it's because Sony deserves the hate it gets. This is the company that put a rootkit on music CDs.eMu wrote:yeah because brand loyalties aren't retarded at all

I had forgot abot that, but yea, that was very unacceptable. Overall I don't much care for Sony, but the PSP I like mainly because its hackable.^misantropia^ wrote:No, it's because Sony deserves the hate it gets. Is Sony releasing a remade or just straight up Final Fantasy VII game for the PSP because my copy on OE3.40 keeps crashing.

I use it only at home or during those times when I have to go visit my in-laws in BFE where there is no internet, no tv, no stores, etc...
Wish I had time to use it at work, but I am pretty much going 100mph from the time I walk in the door at 6:30am until I leave at 3:30pm (people still ask "whats it like having a 6 hour workday?") I have brought it to work a couple times to do a bit of network racing with a couple kids during finals week when he had a bunch of extra time.
The first Syphon Filter for the PSP was fantastic - great story, great presentation, great everything for any game console or handheld. I was seriously debating whether to buy this one or PGR4 - went with PGR4 since it is out today. I'll rent Syphon Filter tomorrow if its out as expected.
When I find a great game for the PSP I love it (I think I've run across 3 so far) - probably even more than playing a game on the PC or console for some reason. Sometimes I feel encumbered (for lack of a better term) when playing a PC or 360 game. One of the main reasons I hate wearing headsets and microphones while gaming is that it limits my ability to pay attention to other stuff, like whatever I am watching on TV at the same time....the PSP offers me great freedom do some multitasking vegging while gaming...

psp outsold ds in japan only in the last month... and only because of ff
/psp is garbage
Re: Does anyone still use the PSP?
Those recent PSP sales numbers are skewed anyway because of the release of the PSP Slim. I mean, it's the launch of a somewhat new console. You'll always see sales numbers soaring when that happends. Just look at the DS sales when the DS lite was just released.
Re: Does anyone still use the PSP?
Look the PSP slim, while a pile of shit and not really worth the money, ISNT THAT BAD... In fact, because of TV out, and the act that Emu's have the chance to run that little bit smoother if they figure out the extra ram, it will be worth owning that alone...
But yeah, I'm gonna have to look into the new Syphon Filter game again. I'm getting bored with FFVII:CC now, I cant read Japanese so I'm stuck at the start, heh. But it is nice

Re: Does anyone still use the PSP?
Lol PSP, suckers.
Re: Does anyone still use the PSP?
Bought it today - trading in another game that I haven't played in ages at Hasting's so it cost me $5.
Never buy PSP games, but they didn't have it in to rent and I've got a trip to the in-laws coming up.
