works for me. i completed ep2, and they included aperture science in the hl2 story as well. Im not sure exactly wtf is going on, but from what i gather ep3 will take place on a boat that went awol like the Philadelphia experiment.
Man that sounds amazing, I was always fascinated with the real life Philadelphia incident / experiment. Now I truly can not wait fro EP3, and I see what they are hinting at, and how the Xen came trough, in the first place. Black Mesa competing with Aperture Science for portal / teleporter technology, as seen in one of Portal's conference room, after you go "ghost in the system" on the 19th test.
The Half Life series have the potential to go down as the best single player game event in history.
The game had been sitting on the title screen for a bit and I caught the middle to end of the left 4 dead trailer that they have playing on there. Was a bit confused at first trying to figure out where in the hell the scenes they were showing fit into the HL2 storyline...
No, i mean when you turn the game on just let it sit at the screen where you can choose which game you want to play. Don't touch anything. For me it first showed a demo of all the different games, then went back ot the title screen, then showed the left 4 dead trailer.
Just cant decide what platform I want it on... PC, so it looks better and I can control it nicer, or 360, where I can talk to team mates because VoIP isn't a bag of shite...

Well if the VoIP is as good in Left 4 Dead as in TF2, I don't think you'll have anything to worry about.
I like the look of Left 4 Dead too, but it's just a shame they're going with 28 Days Later style enemies as opposed to traditional zombies.
k, if I haven't played any of the Half-Life games before, will I be missing out on the story? Should I go shell out a little more cash for HL2? I don't think HL1 is compatible w/ 360.
You definitely need to play Half Life 2 before any of the episodes, and the Orange Box comes with HL2 and all of the episodes so far.
However, I seriously recommend you play the original Half Life, it's the one that started it all, and forms the foundation of the entire storyline. And still to this day, it has one of the best single player experiences.
Tried TF2 for the first time tonight. Pretty fun, I still have a real hard time getting adjusted to multiplayer games with the gamepad rather than mouse and kb because everything just feels slower in terms of responsiveness. Also tried Halo3 multi for the first time tonight. I enjoyed rocket slayer or whatever its called, but damn I wish you could make it so the gun isn't shown on screen. Cuts all of your peripheral vision to the right off.
