My GF got back from a two week vacation with her mom/nan last night. I "played" with her for a few hours then. I wont be seeing her until 8pm because we both have stuff to sort out and shes got an interview tomorrow.

Sell some video games? Maybe a few years back. ATM I'm finishing up a little modeling for our, hopefully, soon to be released DS and PSP games. Shots when it ships thank fuck, NDA suck my big one.

Other than that, I'll be going to the pub later with Raine to chat with my mate who had a baby a few weeks back, and hes only had two nights "off" bless him.

But hey, no problem. While I'm out, sinking pints, sitting with real life friends and having a fantastic time I'll have one on you, my friend GOTHboy, whose at home trying to think what lipstick to put on... Pink? Or maybe red? Who cares, when you make the webcam greyscale anyway

How's the performance? I've played Bioshock and Medal of Honor: Airborne, both UE3 games and from what I can tell, performance stinks. I tried tweaking the settings, but it either drops frames like crazy or looks like crap, I can't seem to get a nice spot in between.

My brother has a new rig and he's complaining about the same thing, so I don't think it's just because of my computer specs. That makes me wonder if the UE3 engine is badly optimized or something, especially when compared to other game engines that are on par with the same level of graphics fidelity.

I remember playing the first Unreal, every time one of those ogre guys shot a rocket, it would bring frames down to a crawl, even on newer hardware. I think it still does the same when one of those ogres spawn in the survival mode in UT2k4.

UE3 is very well optimized TBH. Bioshock ran smooth as silk for me, and I only have a 7900GTX.

As with all engines, (Epics more so really) drivers are what matter most. I know you know that, but nVidia released some beta drivers for Bioshock that fixed performance issues for a lot of people.

It's impossible to find a server that works to join online. They are all shit, have to wait for real server to make up my mind.

Playing with the bots is cool, real fun and challenging. But when I do get in to a rare server that works the game play seems extremely choppy. I am guessing it's because of noob server setup reasons. Because when I play with 19 bots on my PC it is not choppy at all, and bots crate more strain on your system.

I want "real" servers.
