Anywho, I got Q3, and Enemy Territory Quake wars, and proud of it.

I used to borrow Quake 2 from a friend but never got to buy the actual Quake 2.

As a matter of a fact, is it possible to buy a new copy of quake 2?

I personally hate steam..

One, because you have to log in to play any steam-related game.

Two, because if steam has connection problems, you have to wait for them to solve it.

Three, because they act like dictators and they are the ones who own every game you install.

Fuck steam.

Also, what if valve goes out of biz? No more playing any of these games and i have to purchase them elsewhere. Which gives me a reason NOT to buy Half life 2. You have to patch if there is a patch, there is no saying "I don't want the patch".

1) Valve isnt going anywhere

2) If it DOES happen, Auth servers would get pulled. They wouldnt prevent people from playing the games, as they would get slapped with all kinds of class action lawsuits.
