I bought a Microsoft LifeChat 3000 headset for gaming (USB connection). I have my speakers plugged into the 3.5mm jack of my soundcard.
For music, movies and most games, I use the speakers for output. But for certain games, I would like to use the new headset for VoIP. Problem is, I seem to only be able to select one output device, either the sound card or the headset in the Windows sound configuration menus in Control Panel and only after a reboot. Any way I can get input and output to work on both devices simultaneously?
Output to 2 audio devices
Re: Output to 2 audio devices
Well, I can sort of get it to work... I can unplug the headset and sound will go back to my speakers. Except for iTunes, I have to manually restart the application to get it to switch devices.
If anyone has a more elegant solution that would help, otherwise I guess I can live with it.
