These people aren't appointed to these posts out of accident or stupidity, unfortunately.

This is something that Republican administrations have been doing to one extent or another for a few decades. Their entire pitch about government agencies, is that government doesn't work for anything and shouldn't be used for anything for that reason.

In order to convince people that the government doesn't work..... They break it.

Electing one of these people as president is like appointing a Luddite to be Vice President of Manufacturing at a major company. When he's been saying for years that machines and technology are unreliable and are bound to break, and has a vested interest in trying to convince people of the same ideas... Then when he's appointed, and everything breaks down due to his management changes, and he says "I told you so," then it's kinda hard to believe that stupidity had much to do with it.

Wow, here's more info on Susan Orr:
http://thinkprogress.org/2007/10/17/susan-orr/

It also mentions that her predecessor (Eric Keroack) left for ethical problems, linking to this nastiness:
http://feministing.com/archives/006784.html

Apparently he runs a chain of stores (called A Woman's Concern) that pretend to be abortion clinics to lure women into them, and then lie to them to try to convince them not to have an abortion. From the comments in the second link:
This is so upsetting. I worked at an MD's office that provided abortion services in the greater Boston area, and we saw many cases of women who had traumatizing experiences at A Woman's Concern. I don't think I saw anyone in the year I worked as a counselor there as shaken up as one young woman who had mistaken the despicable organization's billboard offering "free ultrasounds, abortion counseling" etc., as being authentic. The things they told her-- that she would have a greater chance of contracting breast cancer, being depressed, regretful-- and especially the way they manipulated her, at such a vulnerable time, putting off appointments, in hopes that the farther along she was in the pregnancy the less likely she'd be to abort-- it's heartbreaking. She couldn't believe that people who act like they're there to help women can treat them with such callous disregard and disrespect. I feel for anyone who's had to shoulder such an ordeal, and I pray that this terrible group's doors will be shut once and for all.
And apparently his chain alone has gotten $1.5 million dollars in federal money, as part of their abstinence program.

That's disgusting.

You have no idea what the fuck you are talking about.

Bush has an IQ of up to 120. You call him stupid? Yes, he may not be a good Speaker like ronald reagan was, but he is surely intelligent. Please, save the bullshit to yourself unless you really have true sources, not anti-bush sites who lie about everything involving Bush..

Where's your source on the "Up to 120" IQ? And is that like I can make "Up to" $5000 a week by starting my own business stuffing envelopes at home?

rofl, looks like we have a Bushbot on our hands. :olo:
Well fucko, I'm not making claims based on 'liberal websites' ($20 says you don't even know wtf a liberal really is), I making claims based on FIRST-HAND ACCOUNTS of people that had classes with him and SIX YEARS of statements the man himself has made. And there you go citing fucking Wikipedia as an unimpeachable source. :olo:
Put down GeeDubya's dick and read a book.

Those "IQ" scores are estimated from his SAT scores. The cited, singular function of SATs is to predict success in college. As we all know Bush was a poor college student, this suggests the SAT is an inaccurate test of aptitude in Bush's case; thus rendering the IQ "estimates" inaccurate as well.
Never mind that SAT scores and IQ are only loosely correlated.

Another estimate is based on a study comparing all presidents. The publication claimed that Bush's IQ is about the same as the average college graduate, which correlates with his mediocre grades. It also notes a few other important points. One is the he is considerably lower in estimated intellectual power than all the other presidents (2nd to last, iirc). Second, the study utilized an "imagination" estimate, and Bush again scored low. Finally, much of the estimation was based on questionnaires from biographers, but Bush's estimates were based on people who read the biographies; arguably, this means that his results were based on indirect observation, in contrast to other presidents.

It is in the 2nd std deviation...
85 - 115 = 1st std deviation
115 - 130 = 2nd std deviation
130 - 145 = 3rd std deviation

No. ~67% of the population are between 85 and 115. That's "average."

Are you inviting me to make the obvious age joke or trump your IQ score with mine? I can do either.
