Osp error fixes request

I have a request or maybe it's a question. I know that Rhea and the other orangesmoothie guys are done with work on Osp, but through the years of all of the versions that they made, there were some error that they never bothered to fix.
The errors are that...if you're on a map that doesn't have a railgun on it, the texture for the grappling hook turns into a big grey line rather than the texture for the rope. Also the bots only have white rail trails rather than colored trails.
I was wondering if any of you programmers would have the ability to fix these problems and would be interested in messing around with it. Since I've been seeing mappers decompiling map's, I would figure that many of you could do the same thing with a mod.
I highly doubt that the Osp guys would have a problem with it...as it would be fixing something. I've heard people just say screw Osp...just play Cpma. I've been playing Cpma since 2002...Osp since 2001. It's not like I don't have any idea about Cpma. It's just that there are things about Osp that Cpma will never possess...which is why I ask about all of this I guess. God knows how many Osp players that are still playing also..I figure that many people would like to see this fixed.

I'm quite aware of that. I popped up a 850-Viewcams.pk3 over at ..::LvL in January, and Tig made a comment on the bottom of the review about Osp's site being shut-down. Within a few weeks of that being put up, they opened up the site again for downloading purposes...with a mention that the mod is no longer being worked on. I'm just somewhat confused as to how such a big mod(probably the biggest)could manage to have such simple errors never getting fixed. I've never heard anyone even complain about them.

I suppose it's not that big of a deal...but it is to ME!!! hehe I guess I'll try to contact one of them..maybe I'll get lucky.
